Mektub sent by Kapudan Mehmed Paşa to the beylerbeyi of Mısır regarding the Venetian bailo in Mısır (Egypt). The beylerbeyi of Mısır was praised for his good treatment of the Venetian bailo. Apparently, the Venetian bailo purchased a mukataa ( hıyar-ı şanbar ) for eight years. This made French bailo and others jealous and they are lookıng for an opportunity to get this mukataa for themselves. The beylerbeyi is requested to protect the Venetian bailo as he has been doing.
