When the consul passed away, yhe previous beylerbeyi of Cyprus Mustafa confiscated his belongings saying that he had been in Cyprus for 18 years. However, there were money and other belongings of merchants entrusted to the consul. These were also taken by the previous beylerbeyi. There were also other cases when the merchants were harassed in ways that are against the ahdname. The beylerbeyi is ordered to investigate the issue. If it is the case, he is to solve the problem and return the belongings and money of the merchants.
