Mektub sent by Kaymakam Mehmed Paşa to the beylerbeyi of Bosna regarding the corsairs activities in the Venetian bay. Accordingly, corsairs from North Africa entered the Venetian bay and stopped at Nova where they were encouraged by locals to attacks Venetian lands. They attacked Venetian lands and caused so much losses and enslaved many people. As it is required by the ahdname, Venetians are to be protected. However, some officials and locals in Nova collaborated with the corsairs and attacked them. Now the beylerbeyi is ordered to punish those people as an example and obey the orders sent from the Porte.
