English Summary - Plain
Order sent to the beylerbeyi, kadı and defterdar of Haleb upon the request of the bailo regarding the emins in Haleb. The emins are supposed to demand 2 akçe per 100 akçe for the clothes. The value is determined by the emins as well. Recently these emins calculated the total value of the Venetian goods more than they actually are so that they could demand more fees for the customs. Because of this reason many merchants and emins have judicial cases. The emins are warned but they continue to do so saying that the decision has not been made. This situation created many problems for the merchants. In this regard, the Ottoman officals are ordered to investigate the issue. If what has been reported is true, then they are ordered to expell these emins and stop such implementations. If the emins present them orders from the Porte, the Ottoman officials are to send those to the Porte and wait for the answer.
