Order sent to the beylerbeyi and kadı of Mısır upon the request of the bailo. It is reminded that the disputes and cases between the Venetian subjects are to be heard and settled by the Venetian consul or bailo. However, it has been reported that an Efrenc (European) captain had a dispute and wanted the Ottoman authorities to settle the dispute. This is not allowed in accordance with the ahdname. So the Ottoman officials are ordered to allow the Venetian authorities to settle the issue.
