Order sent to the kaymakam of İstanbul and kadı of Galata upon the request of the bailo regarding the fees demanded from the Venetian merchants at the ports of Beyrut, Trablus and others. The tradition has been that the merchants are demanded to pay only what is indicated in the ahdname and treated accordingly. However, recently the emin of salt demanded more fees and harassed the merchants. The Ottoman officials are ordered to stop such acts that are against the ahdname.
