Order sent to the beylerbeyi of Kıbrıs and kadı of Lefkoşe upon the request of the bailo regarding customs fees demanded from Venetian merchants. In spite of the 5 percent rule written in the ahdname, it has been reported that the merchants are demanded 9-10 percent by the Ottoman officials at the ports. Although the ahdname is still in effect and there are several orders in this vein, the practise still continues. The beylerbeyi and kadı are ordered to stop such implementations and obey the ahdname.
