Order sent to the sancakbeys of İskenderiye and Karlıili upon the request of the bailo regarding corsair activities done by the Ottoman subjects in the region. It has been reported that some boat owners attack Venetians lands and subjects in the Venetian bay. The sancakbeys (and kadıs) are ordered to obey the ahdname. They are ordered to find those boat owners and investigate them. If they show a guarantor and they are peaceful, the Ottoman authorities are not to touch them. However, if they cannot show a guarantor and are suspected, the Ottoman authorities are to report them to the Porte with their names and descriptions. The sancakbeys and kadıs are warned that if they cannot solve this problem, they will be punished by the Porte.
