Mektub sent to the dodge of Venice regarding capture of a Venetian galley which carried the Venetian commander of the Şabnik fortress. The Ottoman subjects captured the ship, killed the Venetians inside, took their belongings and enslaved the Venetian commander and his three sons. The issue has been reported to the Porte. The dodge is informed that now the sultan knows about the issue, orders were sent to the necessary Ottoman authorities. The Venetian commander and his sons will be returned, the Venetian belongings will be given back and other losses will be compansated by the attackers.The document provides very detailed info on the attack and its afterward.
